Lenovo has added the Z series of laptops to its already existing range of IdeaPad laptops in India.
The new series comprises two laptops – the IdeaPad Z460 which measures 14 inches, and the 15-inch IdeaPad Z560. These new models from Lenovo start at Rs. 34,000 and cost up to Rs 46,000 – depending on the specifications you go in for.
Meant for entertainment and rich media-related functions, the Z series laptops are available at all leading Lenovo retail stores, as well as at Croma, eZone and other multi brand retail outlets across the country.
Both the new Z series devices are said to have extremely ergonomic designs for ease of use. They are powered by Intel Core 2010 processors and have chiclet style keyboards. Also, the IdeaPad Z460 and the Z560 are both capable of displaying resolutions of 1366 x 768 pixels which is good for 720p high definition videos.
In addition, both the new Lenovo laptops feature Dolby Advanced Audio technology as well as HDMI and E-SATA ports. The new Lenovo Z series laptop devices also have a feature known as One Key Theatre, which makes it convenient for the user to customize the laptop’s sound and display settings.
They also integrate Lenovo’s proprietary Veriface face recognition technology for security and the OneKey rescue system for system restoration and file recovery. The OneKey rescue system can also be used to check for viruses and remove them.
The IdeaPad Z460, the smaller laptop, comes in two variants – with Intel Core i3-350M or Core i3-370M processors. It has 2GB of DDR3 memory and 320GB of hard disk space. The laptop sports a 14-inch Glare screen and runs on a 6 cell battery.
The IdeaPad Z560, on the other hand, has a 15-inch LED Glare display. It is available with an Intel Core i5-460 processor. In other respects, it has features similar to the IdeaPad Z460.
