Lenovo C315 touchscreen desktop, G455, G555 laptops unveiled

Lenovo unveiled three new devices, the C315 touchscreen all-in-one desktop, and G455, G555 budget laptops, on February 12, 2010.“Our new G series notebooks and C series are designed for users who want a simple but powerful computing experience without any headaches. By working closely with AMD engineers and leveraging AMD advanced technologies, we have created products that offer superior performance in the areas of graphics and power efficiency at an affordable price point,” ” said Dion Weisler, VP, Business Operations, Lenovo.

The Lenovo C315 touchscreen desktop comes with a 20-inch high-definition touchscreen display with an aspect ratio of 16:9.

It is powered by AMD Althon II processors and ATI Mobility Radeon graphics.

The desktop comes with 4 GB memory, pre-loaded with Windows 7, and Lenovo IdeaTouch suite of multimedia applications like PowerCinema, VeriTouch, and AutoCollage.

The Lenovo C315 touchscreen desktop will be available at a price of $650 starting April 2010.

The Lenovo G445 and G555 notebooks come with high-definition 16:9 Definition displays, with 14-inch and 15-inch screen sizes, respectively. At the core of the two laptops are AMD Turion II Dual-Core processors and ATI Radeon HD integrated graphics.

Other specifications of the Lenovo G445 and G555 notebooks include high-definition video and DirectX 10-class graphics.

The two notebooks come with the Lenovo Energy Management 5.0 feature that allows users to choose from several energy-saving modes reduce energy consumption.  There is also Lenovo’s VeriFace facial recognition for security, and OneKey™ Rescue System for backup, repair and recovery.

The Lenovo G445 and G555 notebooks will be available at a price upwards of $449 starting March 2010.
