Kodak ESP 9250 all-in-one inkjet printer launched

Kodak has launched the latest addition to its ESP All-in-One (AiO) line of printers, the Kodak ESP 9250 all-in-one inkjet printer. The Kodak ESP 9250 is said to replace the Kodak ESP 9, which was severely criticized for installation issues and poor customer service.

While the Kodak ESP 9 had a 3-inch screen, the new Kodak ESP 9250 has a 2.4 inch LCD display with physical buttons. The printer displays the amount of ink and paper that is available, both on the LCD screen and on the computer to which the Kodak printer is connected.

The Kodak ESP 9250 has two trays for letter sized paper and 4×6 inch photo paper. Being adjustable, the trays effectively hold three sizes of paper. Paper gets fed in automatically in the Kodak ESP 9250, and the printer also acts as a flatbed scanner with a resolution of 2400 dpi, fax machine and copier.

The AiO printer also supports double sided duplex printing to save paper.

Kodak’s new ESP 9250 can connect to the web via WiFi and also take commands sent to it from an Apple iPod Touch, iPad or iPhone. Users can also connect to it using an Ethernet or USB connection.

It has a microSD card reader, memory stick Pro duo and compact flash cards.

The ESP 9250 is compatible with Kodak EasyShare photo organizing software so that things designed on the software can easily be printed using the ESP 9250.

This Kodak machine isn’t compatible with Macintosh computers.

The Kodak ESP 9250 inkjet printer offers a print resolution of 9600 dpi and monochrome resolution of 1200×1200 dpi. It can print a 4×6 inch page in 28 seconds.

Monochrome output speed on the Kodak ESP 9250 is 32 pages per minute and color speed is at 30 pages per minute. Copying speed is 27 pages per minute for monochrome and 26 pages per minute for color.

The Kodak ESP 9250 AIO inkjet printer will be available at a price of around US $250.

According to Kodak, 425 black text pages cost around US $10 to print using the Kodak ESP 9250 and Kodak black ink. Similarly used, the printer produces 770

pages of black text for US $17, and with Kodak color ink, it produces 420 colour pages for US $18. A black ink cartridge from Kodak can be had for US $17 and

a Kodak color ink cartridge costs US $18.
