4 September, 2005: Kodak Easyshare-one wi-fi camera is arriving on shop shelves in October, as the holiday shopping season starts. Since it was announced earlier this year, the Kodak Easyshare-one wi-fi camera has won many accolades. Now, it is in sharp focus.

The Kodak Easyshare-one wi-fi camera is an easy-to-use digital camera whch can shoot, share, organise, and print photos, said Mary Hadley, general manager, digital cameras, Eastman Kodak Company.

The Kodak Easyshare-one wi-fi camera can send emails from the camera to to connect to the KODAK EASYSHARE Gallery at home. The connection can also be made on-the-go, from thousands of wi-fi hotspots worldwide. 

Kodak Easyshare-one wi-fi camera can store as much as 1,500 favorite pictures. The unique touch screen and graphical menus on the Kodak Easyshare-one wi-fi camera make viewing and operation of the camera much simpler.

Kodak is in talks with several wi-fi service proders across the world to make sending of wi-fi data from the Kodak Easyshare-one wi-fi camera across distances conveniently. In conjunction with major wi-fi service providers, all Kodak Easyshare-one wi-fi camera buyers get a complementary, camera-specific trial service. 

Besides T-Mobile USA services, Kodak Easyshare-one wi-fi camera owners will also be able to enjoy public connections in other key world markets. Kodak plans to announce further market-specific service providers, as well as retailers that will sell the EASYSHARE-ONE camera, in the coming weeks.

The Kodak Easyshare-one wi-fi camera has already won praises and accolades like Next Big Thing 2005 from C|NET, Best of CES: Picture Perfect from G4techTV, Editor's Choice from American Photo, Innovative Digital Product from the Digital Imaging Marketing Association and Best of CES – Show Star from Stuff (UK).

Kodak has designed the Kodak Easyshare-one wi-fi camera so that the experience changes from point-and-shoot to point and share. Some of the unique facilities available with the Kodak Easyshare-one wi-fi camera are:

* E-mail and online photo-sharing without a computer, using a wireless link to the KODAK EASYSHARE Gallery service through a compatible home or public network
* Upload pictures and videos for near instantaneous electronic sharing 
* Quick sharing of up to 1,500 favorite pictures, synchronized with a PC-based photo archive
* 3-inch, high resolution, rotating LCD touch screen which is protected when not in use
* 256 megabytes of internal memory
* When wirelessly connected to the KODAK EASYSHARE Gallery, users can view thousands more of their pictures stored online, including albums shared by their friends and family.
* Enhanced ease-of-use for picture sharing and taking
* On-camera albums
* Wireless picture printing with KODAK PERFECT TOUCH 
* SCHNEIDER-KREUZNACH C-VARIOGON 3X optical zoom lens (36 – 108 mm equivalent), a 4-megapixel sensor, and the exclusive KODAK Color Science image processing chip.
* Smooth video taking and sharing

At launch, the KODAK EASYSHARE-ONE camera will be compatible with most in-home and public Wi-Fi networks that support 802.11b technology, with the option to enable 64- and 128-bit WEP security. 802.1x support and WPA security is planned for a future firmware release.
