Aimed primarily at net book users and business professionals, who need large amounts of data at their disposal, the Kingston DataTraveler 300 will help users to store large capacity data increasing their computer’s extendable memory.

The device is extremely compact and boasts high portability, the company has claimed.

The price for the Kingston 256 GB Data Traveler 300 flash drive is a little more than 657 Euros (Rs. 45,100).

Kingston has launched this device with a large number of hi-tech features including the password traveler software.

“Users can also safeguard their data by initializing the Password Traveler software, which will allow business users and consumers to password protect their data in a privacy zone without the need of administrator rights,” said Vaughan Nankivell, Regional Manager- Australia and New Zealand for Kingston Technology.

Kingston’s new flash drive has the capability to transfer data at 300 clocks in read/write speeds of 20 MB/sec and 10 MB/sec thus providing good transfer speed to professionals.

“Having the ability to carry over 51,000 images or a paper tower 1346 meters tall in such a small format, demonstrates how far flash technology has developed,” Nankivell said.

The capless Kingston device also comes with enhanced Windows ReadyBoost on Windows Vista-based systems.

The Kingston DataTraveler 300 comes with a five-year warranty period and free tech support.

Currently, the Kingston DataTraveler 300 is available only in Africa, Middle East, Far East, and Europe. The availability and exact price of the Kingston DataTraveler 300, in India, is yet to be determined.
