Karbonn K560, K460 phones launched in India

Karbonn Mobile has launched two entry-level phones in the Indian market, the Karbonn K560 and K460.The company, which is the official sponsor of the Cape Cobra team in the T20 Champion League, is a joint venture between United Telelinks and Jaina.

The Karbonn K560 has a QVGA 2.4-inch display screen with a resolution of 240×320.

The dual-sim phone has a 2-megapixel camera, expandable memory up to 8GB, FM radio, recording, video player, A2DP Bluetooth, GPRS, and MP3 player with Wolfson Audio Codec and a music interface that shows each song as a disc.

The phone supports MP3, MIDI, AMR,  and WAV audio formats and the 3GP video format.

The phone has an 850mAh battery that offers 120 hours of standby time, three hours of talk time, and 2.5 hours of charging time.

The Karbonn K560 will available in the Indian market at a price of Rs 5,000.

The Karbonn K460 is a slider phone that comes with a 0.3-megapixel camera, video player, recorder, FM Radio, MP3 player, WAP, GPRS, and MMS.

The phone measures 102mmx47mmx15mm and weighs 75 gms.

The phone comes with expandable memory up to 8GB and 1000mAh battery that offers standby time of 300 hours, talk time of four hours, and charging time of three hours.

Multimedia features include support for MP3, MIDI, AMR, AAC and WAV audio formats and 3GP video format.

The Karbonn K460 mobile phone is priced at Rs 4,000.

Karbonn’s line-up includes 20 mobile phone priced between Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 5,000.

Karbonn, that was launched in March 2009, aims to increase its service centers in India from 500 to 1000 by March 2010.

The company has said that it will pump in Rs 200 crores to market it phones in the country.
