JVC is all set to exhibit their new THX 3D certified projectors at the CES 2011 this week at Las Vegas.
JVC DLA-X9 and JVC DLA-X7 are industry’s first home theater projectors to receive THX 3D display certification. THX 3D Cinema Mode offers acute 3D color for 3D broadcasts and Blu-ray Discs and they also provides immersive 3D experience by diminishing cross-talk and flicker. Regarding 3D content JVC DLA-X9 and JVC DLA-X7 share identical features, two HDMI 1.4a ports, blue-ray disc, and support side-by-side (broadcast). An external 3D-transmitter syncs the projected image with JVC’s Active Shutter 3D Glasses and assures 3D transmissions with superior quality, regardless of type of screen and home theater configuration. JVC DLA-X9 boasts 100,000:1 native contrast ratio, a PK-EM1 3D Signal Emitter, 0.7-inch D-ILA display, 1920×1080 Pixels native resolution, brighter with 1300 ANSI Lumens, RS232 Port , 20.0 dB Audible Noise ,16:9 HD aspect ratio, image projection range of 60.0 – 200.0 inches, 3D shutter Glass type, and Horizontal & Vertical Lens shift. The DL-X9 comes with two pairs of 3D glasses. JVC DLA-X9 is compatible with Component Video, Video, HDMI, & Computers.
JVC DLA-X7 differs from JVC DLA-X9 only in contrast ratio and offers 70,000:1 native contrast ratio, and is compatible with JVC’s PK-AG1 Active Shutter 3D Glasses and the PK-EM1 3D Signal Emitter for 3D presentation. Both DLA-X9 and DLA-X7 are driven by JVC’s third generation D-ILA High Dynamic Range optical engine that delivers native contrast ratios without a dynamic iris to artificially enhance contrast specifications.
Apart from these THX 3D certified projectors, a third projector – JVC DLA-X3 – which is priced at $4,495, offers 50,000:1 native contrast ratio, and is found compatible with Active Shutter 3D Glasses and 3D Signal Emitter.

Now, with 3D broadcast channels emerging, and a growing number of 3D Blu-ray titles available, consumers want the immersive 3D experience in their homes.
