JVC DLA-SH7NL video projector announced

JVC Japan has announced that it will launch the DLA-SH7NL video projector, in March 2010. The DLA-SH7NL projector will be available at a price of approx 1,400,000 Yen ($15,518).The company has said that it expects the JVC DLA-SH7NL projector to be accepted by planetariums, museums, simulators and medical institutions, and used for high-level designing and monitoring.

The JVC DLA-SH7NL projector features three 1.27-inch 4K2K D-ILA display devices with aspect ratio of 17:10 and effective resolution of 4,096 x 2,400 pixels (approx 10 megapixels), more than four times full HD.

The device weighs only 50 kgs without the lens and measures 660 (W) x 342 (H) x 783 (D) mm.

The projector offers contrast ratio of 10,000:1, 330W dual ultra-high pressure mercury lamp that produces 5,000 lumens, and lamp life of around 3,000 hours.

JVC has said that the DLA-SH7NL projector offers multi-screen projection that is made possible by four DVI (Dual-Link) input terminals supporting multiple PC input formats.

The DLA-SH7NL projector works on normal AC 100-220V power and consumes less than 1,100W of energy.

Another feature of the projector is that multiple projectors can be connected in a network through a single PC.

The company said in a press release that the projector comes with a facility to automatically send e-mails regarding lamp-replacement reminders and error-status notifications.

An USB memory device can be used to store and upload the DLA-SH7NL video projectors configuration data.

The projector comes with two optional lenses, GL-MS4015SZ and GL-MS4011S that offers projection ratios of approx. 2.6 – 12 metres and approx. 1.2 – 6.2 metres.
