ITG’s XpPhone priced at $400 to $650
ITG’s XP phone, that was announced in October 2009, is now ready to go on sale. ITG has put a price on the XP phone, which is the only phone powered by Windows XP in the world, will retail around $400 to $650 (approx Rs.18,000-Rs.29,500).The phone will be available in Black, Red, White and Silver.

The slide-out ITG Windows XpPhone has a 4.8-inch TFT touchscreen LCD display with a resolution of 800 x 480 resolution and a QWERTY keyboard.
It is powered by an AMD Super Mobile CPU, offers 512MB/1GB RAM, and will run Windows 7 OS.
Its hard disk capacity also varies from version to version with options of 30GB, 60GB, 80GB and 120GB. The XP phone comes with solid state drive capacity options of 8GB, 16GB, 32GB and 64 GB.

According to the company, the phone supports both SSD and HDD drives simultaneously to save power. The ITG XpPhone can be used as a portable hard disk when the system shuts down.
The phone works on GSM/GPRS/EDGE/WCDMA (HSDPA/HSUPA) and CDMA/CDMA2000 1X/CDMA1X EVDO,TD-SCDMA, TD-HSDPA.
Connectivity specs include WiFi at 802.11b/g, optional WiMax, Bluetooth, and a stand-alone GPS with real-time traffic support.
The 1.3-megapixel camera works on CMOS technology and has a specification of 300k/1.3 million. The Xp phone comes with one earphone jack, one microphone jack, a docking connector, and USB 2.0.
The XP phone weighs around 400g including the battery and will be launched through phone service companies like AT&T, Vodafone and Orange.
A few technologies that make the ITG XP phone remarkable are its power reducing technology, where the phone can prompt users about the incoming call being in a standby mode.
It integrates the technology of a mobile phone and a laptop computer, allows video calls and supports Skype, QQ and VoIP service. The mirror protection technology helps maintain the speed of the operating system and keeps up fast operation.
The phone allows users to switch between horizontal and vertical display, control resolution, font size and zoom pictures and web pages with ease. The Xp phone can also be connected to a projector and LCD television through its VGA interface.
The RF isolation and modularization technology enables compatibility with 2G, 3G, 4G networks and supports GSM, CDMA and TD network standards. It offers protection against viruses and completely erases the operating and browsing records. Its ergonomically designed keys help in speedy typing as well.
The removable Lithium-ion battery offers a talk time of 5 hours and a stand by time of about 5 days. The stand-by operations time might vary depending on usage.
