Intex IN 5000, IN 5040 phones launched in India

Intex has launched two new mobile phones, the Intex IN 5000 and Intex IN 5040, in India.

The Intex IN 5000 is priced at Rs. 5000, while the IN 5040 is priced slightly higher, at Rs. 5500.

The Intex IN 5000 is Intex’ first GSM touch-screen mobile phone.

The phone features a 2.5” TFT touch screen display, FM radio, mobile tracker, a camera, Bluetooth, GPRS, audio and video player.

The Intex IN 5000 phone supports GSM for its internet connection. The phonebook can store more than 800 contacts, and has a memory slot for additional storage.

The Intex IN 5000 comes wrapped in a leather flap, doing away with the need to use other leather or plastic covers.

The Intex IN 5040 supports dual SIM feature allowing the users to insert both GSM and CDMA SIM cards.

The phone comes with some useful and necessary features, such as a high-resolution camera for clear pictures, Bluetooth with A2DP (new technology for enjoying music through Bluetooth), and FM radio.

The Intex IN 5040 also offers USB PC connectivity, expandable memory, audio and player and a 1000-contact phonebook memory with expandable memory.

The Intex IN 5040 comes with three games and 500 SMSes.
