The iiView M1Touch Windows 7 tablet has made an appeance on multiple blogs, and while that name is nothing interesting, look at the second part of it.

The M1 Touch is going to be a Windows 7 tablet, much like what HP was planning to do with the HP Slate before it was killed off after the company purchased Palm. The offspring of that relationship is going to the HP Hurricane WebOS tablet. But that is no comfort for those who wanted a full-fledged Windows 7 touchscreen computer.

Well, the iiView M1Touch is here, to make all your Windows 7 touch dreams come true!

It looks similar to the iPad alright – at least in the photos. But do the similarities end there or is the Hong Kong-based manufacturer’s product comparable to the iPad on any count? We sure are trying to find out. Related: Apple iPad in India

The iiView M1Touch looks very much like an oversized iPod Touch or iPad. Specifications are interesting alright. It runs Windows 7 Home Premium and comes powered by Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz processor. From what we got to know, the device is to be available by the end of May itself, and has been priced at around $506.56. The iiView M1Touch Win 7 tablet  will hit the market in four models.

The  iiView M1Touch will sport a 10.1-inch (1,024 x 600) multitouch display. There is also a generous 2GB of RAM. The device would have a 250 GB HDD for all your storage needs. These apart, the device weighing 1.2kg and with vital statistics reading 289.6 x 150 x 20.3mm, would have a webcam, USB, 4-in-1 card reader and a built-in accelerometer incorporated into its tiny frame. On the power front is a battery pack that ensures up to 3 hours of uninterrupted battery life. We are sure there would be a Wi-Fi option on the M1Touch. Related: Upcoming Android web tablets

For any more details, we will wait a bit. We are naturally skeptical, but believe us, we want the iiView M1 Touch to have some amount of success. iPad has been having it good for too long!
