Don’t like the iPad or Apple for that matter? Also hate Microsoft with a passion? Perhaps you should take a look at the ICD Gemini tablet that runs Android.

The ICD Gemini tablet is based on Nvidia’s Tegra 2 SoC clocked at 1GHz. One complaint which a lot of us have about the iPad – despite its super glossy finish and Apple quality standards – are that it is pretty pathetic when it comes to features standard on most netbooks. ICD Gemini will give you no such reason to complain, however.

Take a look at these little things built into the Gemini, for instance. There are two cameras – one a 2MP fixed focus camera facing front, and the other an autofocus 5MP unit on the rear. Also, unlike the iPad, the Gemini can run Adobe Flash.

The ICD Gemini comes with the capability to display HD content on its 1,366×768, 11.2-inch screen. 3G connectivity available, and the device will even let you make phone calls. A user-replaceable battery is another unique addition, unlike the iPad or the iPhone. From the ICD Gemini photo we have here, you can’t really figure out the size – but trust us, 11.2 inches are a bit big. Not as portable as the iPad, for sure.

Rest of the features include GPS, 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 EDR, FM radio, an SD card reader and MicroUSB connectivity. There is multi-touch, and a choice of resistive or capacitive There is even a magnetometer, or compass built into the ICD Gemini. Even an Apple fanboy has to agree – that is a pretty impressive set of specifications!

A bit bigger than the iPad with the vital statistics reading 300 x 191 x 15.6mm, the Gemini is not as cute as you would have expected it to be. The Apple iPad scores all the points when it comes to good looks, no doubt.

Running Google Android OS, the device also sports an accelerometer, a microUSB port, HDMI, 3.5mm headphones socket with stereo speakers, and a dual-microphone array that enables noise cancellation. An optional app store is also accessible.

Asof now, we have no idea about the price or the official launch date of the ICD Gemini tablet. Stay tuned!
