The third phone in the HTC 2010 portfolio of Android smartphones is the HTC Tide social networking touchscreen phone.

The HTC Tide Android phone has a 2.68-inch QVGA flat touch screen and a 3.2-megapixel autofocus camera.
The phone is powered by the 528-MHz Qualcomm MSM7225 processor, comes with 256MB RAM, and runs the Android operating system.
The HTC Tide works on WCDMA/HSPA at 900/2100 MHz and GSM/EDGE at 850/900/1800/1900 MHz.
The USP of the HTC Tide is its social networking offerings. Apart from providing access to popular social networking sites, such as Facebook, Twitter, FlickR, the phone also offers widgets to set desired content like twitter feeds, facebook updates, or email on the home screen.

The HTC Tide Android smartphone has a 12-keypad and also a trackball control option like in the HTC Hero, HTC Magice, HTC G1, and the HTC Tattoo.
Connectivity features of the HTC Tide include WLAN with specifications of 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, GPS chip and assisted GPS.
Other features include microSD memory card, 3.5-mm jack, G-Sensor, Microsoft Exchange, Google Mobile Services, Footprints v1.5, and Friendstream.
The HTC Tide will offer 2 Mbps up-link speed and 7.2 Mbps down-link speeds.
Since most of this is leaked information (Androidandme), there is a possibility of changes in the specifications list by the time the HTC Tide hits the shelves.
The phone is expected to be launched by April 2010. There is no information available about the price of the HTC Tide.
Apart from the HTC Tide, HTC will launch other lifestyle and performance phones. These are the HTC Legend, HTC Salsa, HTC Buzz, and the HTC Bravo.
The HTC Legend and the HTC Salsa are lifestyle phones that will be launched in March-April 2010.
