Rumors of a new HTC Android smartphone, the HTC Scorpion, powered by a new ultra-fast Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, are doing the rounds, just days ahead of the 2010 Mobile World Congress.

The HTC Scorpion – or Olympian, according to some reports – will have a spanking new Qualcomm 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor at its core and will run the Android 2.2 operating system.
Two days ago, Androidspin had posted a build file from the HTC Scorpion/Olympian, leaked by an anonymous tipster.
Apart from that there is no other information available about the HTC Scorpion – no leaked photos or specifications.
Though, a few unconfirmed reports say that the phone may come with WIMAX connectivity.
The HTC Scorpion Android smartphone, if it exists, is expected to be launched at the 2010 Mobile World Congress.

The HTC Scorpion is not the only high-end smartphone from HTC to be talked about in the last few years. Less than a week ago, rumors about the HTC Incredible Android phone surfaced.
The HTC Incredible is said to be the company’s first Android 2.1 phone, and will be launched via Verizon. This smartphone is said to powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon processor with HTC’s Sense user interface on top of it.
It will have a 3.5-3.7 -inch WVGA display screen, a dual-LED flash 5-megapixel camera at the rear, 256 MB RAM and an optical mouse pointer at the lower end of the device, instead of a trackball, for navigation.

Before the HTC Incredible, it was the HTC Supersonic WIMAX 4G phone that had caught the imagination of most of us. It is said to run Android 2.1 overlaid with HTC’s Sense user interface. Other specifications of this super phone include a 4.3-inch touch screen, 5-mega pixel camera, kickstand, and 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
