HTC will launch three new phones, in the productivity category, in April 2010, namely the HTC Photon, Trophy, and Tera.The first phone in this category, and the sixth phone in HTC’s whole line-up for the first half of 2010, is the HTC Photon.

The HTC Photon, that comes with a 3.2-inch HVGA capacitive touch screen and a 5-magapixel camera with autofocus, measures 104 x 57 x 10.9 mm.
The phone features HTC’s TouchFLO 3D user interface that allows users to use finger gestures to browse through contacts, photos, web pages, and navigate through programs.
Also, HTC’s Straight Talk feature will be incorporated into the HTC Photon. The HTC Straight Talk feature allows users to switch between single calls, conference calls, and emails seamlessly.
The HTC Photon is powered by a Qualcomm MSM7227 600 MHz processor and runs Windows Mobile 6.5. There is 512 MB ROM and 256 MB RAM.
The phone works on WCDMA/HSPA at 900/2100 MHz and GSM/EDGE at 850/900/1800/1900 MHz networks.
For connectivity, the HTC Photon offers 802.11 b/g WLAN, Bluetooth v 2.1 with EDR, GPS, assisted GPS, and 1300 mAh battery.
As far as broadband speeds go, the HTC Photon will provide up to 2 Mbps up-link speed and 7.2 Mbps down-link speeds.
The phone will also provice access to Facebook, Twitter, and other social networking sites.
Other specifications include Motion G-Sensor, 3.5-mm jack, FM Radio, MicroUSB, and Business Card Scanner. These specifications have been gleaned from
leaked information about HTC’s upcoming phones in the first half of 2010.
HTC will launch eight phones in categories it has defined as lifestyle, social networking, performance, and productivity phones.
The lifestyle phones are the HTC Legend and the HTC Salsa while the social networking phones are the HTC Buzz and the HTC Tide. HTC phones in the performance and productivity categoies comprise the HTC Bravo, HTC Photon, HTC Trophy, and the HTC Tera.
The HTC Legend, Salsa, Buzz, Tide, and Bravo are Android phones, while the HTC Photon, Troply, and Tera are WinMo 6.5 devices.
The HTC Photon will be launched in April 2010.
