HTC launches multimedia phone Sensation 4G

HTC has launched its new multimedia phone HTC Sensation 4G in the United States.

The phone is releasing on T-Mobile’s network in the U.S. Though HTC normally brings its new smartphones to India soon after their launch, we don’t expect the Sensation to land here in its present version.

The Sensation is a 4G phone and in India, 3G is still trying to find its feet. It would be quite some time before the fourth-generation technology services start in India. Related: Reliance testing 4G broadband in India

HTC Sensation smartphone has an aluminum unibody and sports a 4.3-inch qHD display with a resolution of 960 × 540 pixels. The phone measures 126.1mm x 65.4mm x 11.3mm and weighs 148 grams. Suggested readMTS Zoot Android phone is HTC Hero

The phone feels solid once held in the hand. Its display glass is contoured along the entire edge of the screen, so it also protects the screen from grit and sand when it’s face down. Also see: HTC Desire S smartphone launched in India

The 4G phone comes with HTC Watch video streaming service. You can choose from hundreds of Hollywood movie titles available and the Watch keeps tabs on your Internet connection to ensure you get an uninterrupted viewing experience.

The HTC phone is powered by a 1.2GHz dual core processor and runs Android 2.3 aka Gingerbread operating system. The Sensation has an internal phone storage of 1GB and 768MB of RAM. RelatedHTC Incredible S phone in India

HTC Sensation features a new, improved HTC Sense UI which promises a rich, immersive user experience. Some of the new features are instant capture camera which makes sure you don’t have to wait for the phone to finish clicking the picture after you have pressed the button, and active lockscreen which now lets you check up on your portfolio, view your friend’s status, etc.

The multimedia phone HTC Sensation boasts an 8-megapixel camera with dual LED flash. The HTC 4G phone also serves as a full HD camcorder with stereo sound recording. You also get a VGA front-facing camera for video chats. And after you are done capturing your favorite moments, HTC Sensation lets you share videos and photos to your HDTV wirelessly via DLNA technology.

Other features of the new HTC 4G phone include gyro sensor, G-sensor, digital compass, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor and GPS navigation. The Sensation gets its juice from a powerful 1520mAh battery.
