HTC launches HTC 7 Mozart for Rs. 26,490 in India

HTC has announced the launch of its latest WP7 Mozart phone, namely HTC 7 Mozart, in India at a price tag of Rs. 26,490.

The new HTC phone comes loaded with Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 mobile operating system. Microsoft has completely made a new start Windows Phone 7. Its just-discarded mobile OS, Windows Mobile 6.5.3, had seriously gone long in the tooth. We recently told you that HTC with its major presence in India and a wide range of Android phones, might decide to bring Windows Phone 7 phones to India. The new Mozart also follows the release of HTC Desire Z in India.

HTC 7 Mozart is the first HTC phone to sport an 8 megapixel camera with Xenon Flash. HTC 7 Mozart comes with an exclusive offer for Tata Docomo users in India. The subscribers of Tata Docomo will get special data offer on the handset.

HTC 7 Mozart is powered with 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8250 CPU. It has 576MB RAM and 512MB ROM. The new HTC phone offers 8GB internal storage. Moreover, the phone comes with the new Hub and Tile interfaces that helps users to interact with different menus like Photos, People, Music & Video, Games and Office.

HTC 7 Mozart features a 3.7-inch WVGA touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution and boasts a pinch-to-zoom feature. The phone also features high fidelity audio with the Dolby Mobile and SRS Surround Sound certifications.

The highlight of the HTC 7 Mozart is its 8 megapixel camera that comes with Xenon Flash and is capable of recording 720p HD video. The camera also has built-in scenes that include candlelight, landscape, and portrait to match the environment of the subject.

The HTC 7 Mozart is available in all authorised HTC resellers across the country. The Mozart is poised to compete with Samsung Galaxy S in terms of Mobile OS competition. Both phones are priced closely too.
