HTC has officially launched the Incredible S smartphone in India for Rs. 28,990. However, Flipkart is selling the phone with a price tag of Rs. 26,999.
HTC Incredible S debuted internationally at the Mobile World Congress 2011 in February and HTC has lost no time in getting its latest offering to India.
The Incredible S runs Android 2.2 aka Froyo OS with HTC Sense UI on top, but the company has promised that it would release a Gingerbread (Android 2.3) update for the phone soon.
The phone is powered by Qualcomm MSM8255 chipset with 1GHz Scorpion CPU and Adreno 205 GPU. It has 768MB RAM and 1.1GB ROM. So, we suspect that the HTC phone should be able to get an update for Android 2.4 aka Ice Cream Sandwich OS too.
The new HTC phone measures 120 x 64 x 11.7 mm and weighs 135.5 grams. The Incredible S sports a 4-inch WVGA Super LCD capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. Also see: Buy HTC Desire Z for Rs. 25,799

HTC Incredible S is a 3G-enabled phone and comes with Wi-Fi connectivity, full DLNA support and Bluetooth 2.1. The phone has a 1450mAh battery that should deliver up to 580 minutes of talk time and 290 hours of standby time.
Other features of HTC Incredible S include GPS, digital compass, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor. The HTC phone has a document viewer on board but surprisingly no editor. The phone is pre-loaded with Google Talk, YouTube and GMail apps.
