Few days back, HTC introduced its first Windows Phone 7 device, namely HTC HD7 in India. Now, another Windows Phone 7 mobile is being launched, called the HTC 7 Mozart.
HTC 7 Mozart is available in the US at a range of $600 to $740. The company has not specified price range for the Indian market. There are speculations that HTC 7 Mozart shall be priced somewhere around Rs. 30,000 in India.
HTC 7 Mozart is camera/music phone. So it comes with a Xenon Flash for its 8 megapixel camera that is capable of shooting high resolution still photos and recording 720p HD video. In addition, the phone features Dolby Mobile and SRS Surround Sound for the high level music experience while you are on the move.
The phone has a solid build and looks good. The reviews suggest it work well too-except that photo and video quality doesn’t seem to be all that hot despite 8 megapixel sensor and xenon flash. The music too could do with better earphones.
HTC Mozart features a 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480×800 pixel resolution. It comes in a unibody aluminum design. Moreover, the Mozart is powered with 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8250 chipset, 512MB ROM and 576MB RAM. It comes with 8GB internal storage and features Gravity-Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Ambient light sensor and Digital Compass. For connectivity, it supports Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, 3G, and Wi-Fi. Its SRS WOW HD offer virtual surround sound to the mobile. Moreover, the phone comes with FM radio.
The HTC 7 Mozart has the Windows-specific buttons for Back, Menu and Search, on its front side. Also, there’s a camera shutter button and volume control on the rounded sides, and a lock-screen/power button on the top of the handset. The handset also features a 3.5mm headphone jack.
If it does arrive at a price of Rs. 30,000, then it will be entering Nokia N8, Samsung Galaxy S an Sony Walkman phones territory. Nokia N8 and Samsung Galaxy S have formidable photo quality, while Sony Walkmans have very good audio output. So HTC 7 Mozart will have its work cut out.
