Haleron iLet Mini HAL Android tablet launched

Haleron has launched an Android web tablet, the Haleron iLet Mini HAL, that will start shipping from March 1, 2010.

The Haleron iLet Mini HAL Android tablet comes with a 7-inch LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.

It is powered by a 600 MHz ARM processor and runs Haleron’s Ocean Android operating system, based on Android 1.6. This Linux-based operating system can run both Windows and Android applications, and support WiFi, 3G, and Bluetooth. It also allows users to run open source Linux applications, such as Firefox, OpenOffice.org, GIMP, and PIDGIN.

The tablet supports MP3/Audio,AVI, Motion JPEG/Video format, word docs, excel, powerpoint, youtube, games, ePub, text, and html eBook formats.

The Haleron iLet Mini HAL Android tablet offers 128 MB RAM, 10GB cloud storage, and 2GB of flash storage, expandable up t0 32GB Flash or 250 GB via USB.

Connectivity features include Wifi at 802.11b/g, Ethernet 10/100M, WIFI:802.11B/G, and optional 3G USB.

Ports include one SD slot for memory expanion, two USB, one stereo audio out, and microphone in.

Haleron claims that the iLet Mini HAL Android tablet offers 16 hours of active battery and 72 hours of standby battery life life.

Available in two colors, Black and white, the Haleron iLet Mini HAL Android tablet is available at a price of $199, which is a pretty decent price point for the specifications offered.
