Garmin-Asus Nuvifone M10 Windows Mobile 6.5.3 phone in India

Garmin Asus has launched the Nuvifone M10, its latest Windows Mobile-powered navigation phone, in India. Running Windows Mobile 6.5.3, the full touchscreen device comes preloaded with Facebook and YouTube apps enabling you to stay connected while you are working.

The Garmin-Asus Nuvifone M10 is available in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad and Pune at a price of Rs 19,990.

The Garmin-Asus Nuvifone M10 is, in fact, the only device available in India that runs the latest version of Windows Mobile 6.5.3.

Featuring a bright 3.5-inch display screen (albeit resistive), the Garmin-Asus Nuvifone M10 is equipped with a 5.0-megapixel camera that offers automatic geotagging.

The phone allows users to view new emails, text messages, missed calls and calendar appointments on the home screen. The Exchange ActiveSync feature enables users to access emails and information from their computers in a secure manner.

The main feature of the Garmin-Asus Nuvifone M10 phone is navigation support. The phone enables users to find addresses and get voice-prompted, turn-by-turn directions that read out street names. Besides these, junction view, and lane assist have also been incorporated to ensure that users are on the right road.

The Garmin-Asus Nuvifone M10 offers advanced location-based services (LBS) by syncing apps, such as contacts, email, browser, and messaging to navigation functions. Other navigation features include Track Logs and Route Planning, Where’s My Car Parked? and Where Am I?

Users can access a variety of apps from the Windows Marketplace and connected services, such as flight status information, weather forecasts and traffic position.

Powered by Qualcomm’s 7227 600MHz processors, the Garmin-Asus Nuvifone M10 ofers 512 MB of RAM and 512 MB of ROM. The phone comes with a 4GB card and offers memory expansion via microSD cards.

Other specifications of the Garmin-Asus M10 phone include Bluetooth,WiFi, USB 2.0, IE6 browser, GPS, and microSD card slot. The phone is equipped with a 1500mAH battery that offers up to 600 hours of Standby time for  3G/2G and up to 8 hours of Talk time.
