Fujifilm has unveiled the latest addition to the fashion-forward line of Z-series compact cameras, the Fujifilm FinePix Z900 EXR.
The new Fujifilm camera comes with a 16-megapixel EXR CMOS sensor that can also capture full HD videos and 5x wide angle refractive optical zoom lens.
It has been launched in the United States at a price of $280. Though the company has not given any word on when this camera might be released in India, it should carry a price tag of around Rs. 13,000 here. Related: Casio Exilim Zoom Ex-Z800 in India
The Fujifilm FinePix Z900 EXR point-and-shoot camera has a 3.5-inch touchscreen LCD display with a user-friendly interface. The Z900 comes in a slim metal chassis in a choice of three colors: matte black, red or blue. At only 18.2mm thin, the FinePix Z900 EXR is ultra-portable and can easily be slipped into a handbag or jeans pocket.
The FinePix Z900 with its EXR CMOS sensor promises advanced image quality, improved low light sensitivity and faster performance. You can shoot action at 12fps and high-speed movies at 320fps at full resolution. Also see: Nikon’s new Coolpix digital cameras priced $120-$400
You can put the Z900 on EXR Auto Mode and the cameras will do all the work for you. You can also manually select one of three EXR Priority modes: High Resolution (HR); Dynamic Range (DR), which takes two pictures and combines them to provide a range of up to 1600 percent; or High ISO, Low Noise, which is perfect for capturing stunning pictures in low light situations.
Let’s not forget the new FujiFilm FinePix camera’s video capabilities. Movie files are captured in full 1080p HD in stereo at 30fps with H.264 high profile compression for smaller file sizes without sacrificing quality.

Fujifilm FinePix Z900 EXR includes a feature to share photos/videos directly to your Facebook/YouTube account. Once the camera is connected to a PC and MyFinePix Studio software is launched, you can upload all marked photos or movies will directly to Facebook or YouTube at the press of a button.
Face Recognition: Fujifilm’s Face Recognition technology gives you the ability to pre-program 8 people into the camera. The camera optimizes the settings to ensure that exposure and focus are best suited for those people while taking a picture.
Intelligent Image Stabilization: The new mechanically stabilized sensor is able to overcome handshake. You no longer need to increase ISO to freeze action. The FinePix Z900 EXR also works to reduce blur to a minimum.
Motion Panorama 360° Mode: The FinePix Z900 EXR sensor extends the sweep range to 360? (shots can also be taken vertically).
