The Fly DS160 is meant for users who want a feature-rich phone at a reasonable price, such as the youth and people in tier 2 and tier 3 towns. Fly Mobile’s phone has a 1.8 inch QQVGA TFT screen which displays 65K colours.

The DS160 mobile phone plays MP3s, has a 3.5 mm universal audio jack, and a 20mm speaker as well. Fly Mobile’s DS160 also has a 20 channel FM radio, FM recording capability and an FM alarm. It can be used to record sounds, as well as calls. Related: Dual SIM phones in India
The DS160 has a VGA camera and it can play videos that are in the 3GP or AVI formats. Fly Mobile’s DS160 can be used to record videos that will also be in the AVI format. Further, the handset’s phonebook can retain 1,000 contacts with a photo associated with each for identification. The phone has an internal memory of 8 GB that can be expanded.
Being Bluetooth enabled, Fly’s DS160 allows users to share data such as videos, photos and music etc.
Other features of the DS160 include a mobile tracker, privacy protection, GPRS, MMS, Indian calendar, number and SMS screening and a double LED torch.
Fly Mobile claims that the DS160 can be used to talk on for 16 hours non-stop, and that the phone’s standby time is 30 days.
This handset from Fly Mobile is priced at Rs 3,299. The DS160 looks like at good buy at such a low price, considering the features and expandability.
