Fly Booom MC105 music phone with dual SIM

Fly has introduced a new music phone in India, the Fly Booom MC105.

That is a ‘boom’ with an extra ‘o’. Just telling you. Typing Booom just does not come naturally to you, does it?

The price of the Booom is not clear yet, but we believe it will be pretty close to Rs 3,500, comparing it to other phones from Fly in India. Update: Fly MC105 price: Rs 3,649.

The Fly Booom MC105 is a phone that looks reasonably attractive at that low price, for sure. It has a media player that can play 3GP and AVI files, and possibly MP3 files too. Related: Music phones in India

The differentiating factor for the Booom MC105 is a pretty large-ish speaker at the rear (3-x40mm). There is no mention of dual speakers or sterio among the specs, so we are assuming that this is a mono-speaker phone. Nothing to complain about – at this price, you all you want is some loud noise, right? There is a built-in amplifier so you can be certain Fly is serious about the music capabilities of the Booom. You also get an FM radio with scheduled recording to record your fav channels and play back later. A USB-chargeable battery and 8-hours of talk time are great.

The Fly Booom MC105 can also record video, but considering that the resolution is a minuscule 176 x 220 pixels on a 5.1 cm screen, this is likely to be really low quality video. No serious video shooting here!

The phonebook can hold 1000 entries, which is adequate. This is not exactly a powerful phone, but you have basic GPRS surfing. And a whole lot of other features such as a flashlight, pre-loaded Bollywood songs and mobile tracker.

Oh, and this is a dual-SIM phone that using twin GSM cards. (More dual SIM mobile phones here)Bluetooth is available. No GPRS, WI-Fi etc etc.
