Epson launched its new high-definition printer, the Epson Stylus Photo PX 650, in the UK, on July 28, 2009.

The Epson Stylus Photo PX 650 printer is designed to meet the requirements of professional photographers. Epson’s claria photographic ink is used in the printer which promises to deliver exceptional photo print quality, the company has said.
“Epson has introduced this new photo printer for those who have a passion for digital photography and want to be involved in the creative process of producing stunning photographs,” Paolo Marenghi, Product Manager, Epson UK, commented.
The Epson Stylus Photo PX 650 printer comes with features like fast print speed and photo-scanning.
Marenghi said that the Epson Stylus Photo PX650 printer produces high-quality images at fast speeds, provides excellent value for money, and is “perfect for latest D-SLRs or compact digital cameras.”
The Epson Stylus Photo PX650 priner has advanced features that allow its users to scan, copy and print photos with better quality than lab printed photos, the company has claimed.
The Epson Stylus Photo PX650 printer is equipped with 1200 dpi photo scanner.
Epson claims that the Epson Stylus Photo PX650 printer is cost effective because users will need to replace only the colors that have been used. The Hummingbird image easily indentifies these individual ink cartridges, which are also available in multipack cost saving packages.
High printing speed of the Epson Stylus Photo PX650 printer allows it to print a 10×15 cm picture in just 12 seconds and has a very convenient option of printing the pictures directly from a memory card or a PictBridge compatible camera.
The LCD screen of the Epson Stylus Photo PX650 printer allows users to customize the pictures without the need of a PC and create personal CDs and DVDs by printing directly on the suitable discs.
An Epson Photo Paper pack, that has Premium Glossy Photo Paper in 10x15cm, 13x18cm and A4 sizes, comes with the printer.
The Epson Stylus Photo PX650 printer will be available from September 1, 2009, at a price of £129.99, VAT included.
