Dell has launched its latest Android phone Dell Venue in India at a price tag of Rs. 28,499.
Dell Venue features a 4.1-inch AMOLED, capacitive, multitouch screen with 16M color display that offers a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. This smartphone is one of the high-end Android 2.2 aka Froyo running handsets available in India today.

The new Dell phone comes in subtly curved Shear Design and has rounded sides and curved back to provide better grip. The phone is slim and weighs only 164 grams.
Dell Venue boasts high-quality Corning Gorilla Glass for extra strength. In addition, the back is created from a single unbroken surface with a micro pattern that hides fingerprints, smudging and scratches.
Dell Venue is powered by 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 processor and is powered by a 1400mAh battery. The phone comes loaded with 512MB RAM and 1GB ROM. Memory is expandable up to 32GB with a microSD card.
The Venue sports a 8-megapixel camera with auto focus and 4x digital zoom. For connectivity, Dell Venue offers Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) and Bluetooth 2.1. Other features of the phone include A-GPS, Gravity Sensor and E-Compass.
Dell Venue includes Stage software that helps in organizing music and photos for users. It also features Adobe Flash 10.1 which offers rich and advanced user experience while surfing the Web.
The Venue’s large, 4.1-inch screen offers convenient browsing of the Web, watching videos, or flipping through photos. The large screen also allows simple navigation of the Stage software so you can get the latest news or download video with ease and clarity.
Dell is also releasing a full QWERTY Venue Pro that carries the same hardware but in a slider form factor. Venue Pro would run Microsoft Windows Phone 7 mobile operating system. Market experts estimate the price of Dell Venue Pro to be around Rs. 29,000 to Rs. 31,000. The price should fall in few months after the launch though.
