Dell’s new 20-inch LCD monitor, the Dell ST2010, is available in Hong Kong, at a price of HK$1,098 ($120 – 130).The entry-level LCD screen comes with HDMI, VGA, and sports a 1600 x 900 pixels resolution with a 16:9 aspect ratio.

The Dell ST2010 is said to have a spectacular response time of 5 milliseconds, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, and a brightness level of 250 nits.
The Dell ST2010 provides a 160 degree watching angle that make TV viewing more comfortable without craning one’s neck.
The LCD screen can also be tilted four degrees forward and 21 degrees backward.
The company has said that the LCD screen meets the new Energy Star rules.
The Dell ST2010 is said to have a dual lamp backlight that provides 25% energy savings compared to other four-lamp monitors.
It is expected that the monitor will soon be available in India at an approximate price of Rs 7,500.
In the past, Dell has launched most of its product worldwide on the same date.
The Dell ST2010 LCD screen is compatible with the Dell XPS and Dell Studio desktop systems.
Meanwhile, Dell is asking customers about the netbook features they think are the most important, and what changes they would like to Dell make in its upcoming products.
Reports say that Dell is likely to replace the Microsoft software in its netbooks, with Google’s Android programming.
Dell has also been hit by the economic slowdown. The company said that demand for computer systems has declined,with computer shipments falling by 7 per cent in the first quarter of 2009.
On May 11, Dell announced that it had eliminated 260 jobs at its Forsyth County plant. The company now has 1,140 workers after two rounds of layoffs in April-May 2009.
