Dell launched a high-end laptop, called the Dell Latitude Z600, aimed at business users, on September 29, 2009.

The company claims that the Dell Latitude Z600 laptop is the world’s lightest, thinnest laptop.
The Dell Latitude Z600 is thin as it uses Intel’s 1.4GHz Core 2 Duo (SU9400/SU9600) ultra-low voltage processor.
It measures 14.5mm in thickness and weights 4.4 lbs (2.0kg).
Dell will also use a new feature, called the Latitude Always ON, that runs on Linux and allows users to instantly access the internet, e-mail, calendar, contacts and so
without waiting for boot-up.

The laptop can stay in the Always ON state for up to 12 hours.
The Dell Latitude Z600 has a 16-inch LCD screen and a built-in 2 megapixel webcam with autofocus.
The laptop can be charged using a wireless inductive charging stand and dock, eliminating the need for wires.

Another feature of the Dell Latitude Z600 is its Capture technology that enables users to scan and save documents and business cards.
Security features include integrated finger-print reader and a FaceAware system that locks your laptop when you leave.
The new laptop’s EdgeTouch™ LCD sensor allows users to browse websites and frequently used applications without using any keys.

Tech specs include 4GB of DDR3 integrated memory, 64GB SSD storage, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD, headphones and two USB and one DisplayPort. The Dell Latitude Z600 comes with Windows Vista SP1.
Connectivity options on offer are Wireless LAN, Bluetooth, and Mobile broadband.
Accessories include external optical drive, power adapter, auto air adapter and accessory dongles.
The Dell Latitude Z600 is available in the US at a price of $1999, roughly Rs 96,000.
