Dell Alienware has often been called the king of gaming laptops, and not without reason.

The new addition to the Alienware family is for those who find the 17-inch M17x to big to lug around (at 5.3kg starting weight, it is a beast of a machine) and the 11.6-inch M11x too small for their gaming requirements.

Dell Alienware M14x will be a highly customizable machine like its brothers, with a 14-inch LCD screen (full HD optional) and Sandy Bridge processors starting from Intel Core i3 going all the way to Intel Core i7. The gaming laptop will feature a powerful NVIDIA GT555M GPU.

Internal memory options will vary from 1GB to 4GB DDR3 and hard disk drive options would include 250GB to 750GB 7200RPM. The M14x will come pre-installed with Windows 7 Ultimate Edition 64-bit operating system. Must read: Top gaming laptops in India

The design of the new Alienware notebook doesn’t change much from its predecessors. The keyboard is classic backlit and the Alienware power button features prominently.

Dell Alienware M14x will come with optional 3G and 4G connectivity. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support will be present. Other features include Klipsch speakers, HDMI port and slot-in optical drive.

The Alienware M14x will be equipped with eight-cell Samsung 14.8V/63Wh lithium battery, which may leave some gaming enthusiasts craving for more juice. Also present would be an optional SiBeam WirelessHD card and antenna for syncing the Alienware M14x to your TV set.

Though there is no information yet on the availability and price of Dell Alienware M14x, it should be priced around Rs. 80,000 in the Indian markets.
