BSNL has announces special promotional/discount offers for its 2G and 3G customers on the occasion of Lohri, Pongal, Makar Sankranti, Basant Panchami and Republic day.
The new BSNL offers will be valid from Jan. 12, 2011, till Jan. 27, 2011. The company is also introducing pan-India MNP offers effective from Jan. 20, 2011, for all prepaid and postpaid customers who port-in their mobile number to BSNL network. Read more: Mobile number portability begins in India
Under its new schemes, BSNL will offer full talktime value on all Top-up vouchers/C-top-up/Flexi top-up. This offer can be availed by all BSNL’s GSM 2G and 3G Mobile prepaid customers for top-up denominations of Rs.100 or more. And, where ever the talk value offered with top-up vouchers are more than the MRP of the vouchers, the higher talktime value already offered will prevail.
BSNL has also introduced pan-India MNP offer for all prepaid and postpaid customers who port-in to BSNL network. Pan-India Mobile Number Portability (MNP) will start from Jan. 20. Under the MNP scheme, BSNL will give free connection, free mobile Internet and lots more to all Port-in customers, who switch to BSNL from any other network. BSNL has waived off MNP Port-in charges of Rs. 19 and will offer free 32K SIM to all customers who want to switch to BSNL.
Moreover, BSNL will offer the STV/First Recharge Coupon (FRC) chosen by the prepaid customer absolutely free of cost to use the BSNL mobile services, if Port-in is done through BSNL CSC. Prepaid customers will get additional talk value of Rs. 100 in addition to the free talk value with FRC and will also get 5GB free data usage on GPRS for one month.
BSNL’s postpaid customers’ activation charges have also been waived off and they will get 50 percent off in their first month’s Fixed Monthly Charges. BSNL has introduced the above MNP offers across all circles except Haryana. Also see: BSNL slashes tariffs for postpaid plans
Since long, BSNL has been coming up with new offers and schemes, in order to attract customers to opt for BSNL network. But other telecom operators also seem to be joining in the race. In the end, customers will be attracted to operators that offer cheapest tariff plans and schemes.
