The next Blackberry mobile phone in the Blackberry Curve series is all set to hit the stores. The new phone would have the name Blackberry 9300 – this phone betters its predecessors ‘Pluto’ and ‘Magnum’ phones produced earlier in the series.

This phone has been named ‘Gemini’. We do not know if that name would remain when the 9300 appears in the stores though. For now, all we can offer you is this photo from Boy Genius Report.

The Blackberry 9300 Gemini has a bigger display screen compared to BlackBerry Curve 8900. GeminiĀ  also has a more powerful processor, support GSM Quadband network, Triband UTMS / HSDPA wireless data with built in WiFi and GPS. It looks like a good upgrade for loyal Blackberry users – but there is not much that has been added to the Curve to make it a must-buy for anyone.

With a glamorous silver exterior and a rounded keyboard ‘Gemini’ is all set to attract the customers with its 3G capability, one of the best reasons why one would like to purchase this phone. That rounded keyboard is attractive alright – but still not a compelling proposition to a smartphone user.

The has been been no reference to the price of the phone and it is yet to be seen when the phone would actually hit the stores. However predictions are that the phone would be in the market in the first month of 2010.

Rumors say that the Blackberry Gemini 9300 phone would have a higher resolution screen than the Blackberry curve 8900 and will have a faster processor.

There have been reports that the device is likely to have a 3.2 MP camera. However there has been no confirmation to this news as of now.

The Blackberry Curve 8900 recently was in the stores on Wednesday Feb, 11th. Gemini, the next hot Blackberry smartohone from Research In Motion(RIM) is, if not the best, but better than most of the phones one might find in the markets.
