RIM (Research in Motion) has announced the launch of their new Blackberry Curve 8530, which will be available through Tata Indicom to their CDMA users.

The new handset features support for several social networking sites. The IM services include email and Blackberry Messenger. The phone supports WiFi and GPS, and also ten email accounts for the user.
Blackberry Curve 8530 smartphone has a full QWERTY keyboard, a 529 MHz processor and 256MB memory. Additional features include voice-activated dialing. The memory can be expanded with micro SD cards, to a maximum of 32GB. The camera is 2 MP and has voice recording and zoom.
The Blackberry Curve 8530 is the first CDMA phone in the country that has an optical track pad. The Curve 8530 offers high speed internet and has Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP support.
Priced at Rs 18,990, the Blackberry Curve 8530 CDMA has been introduced in association with Tata’s Photon TV. This means that consumers can have access to their favorite entertainment even while on the move. Tata Photon has 50 channels covering movies, business, sports, news, financial and animation. If you buy the Curve 8530 before the 30th of June, Tata Indicom offers free data services for two months, and free live TV for a period of three months.
As with other phones that have come out recently, the Blackberry Curve 8530 is targeted primarily at the younger generation – students and professionals to whom the social networking capabilities of the phone will be of invaluable help.
