T-Mobile USA, Inc., and Research In Motion, that will launch the latest addition to its BlackBerry Curve series, the BlackBerry Curve 8520, on August 5, 2009, has put a product page on its website.

The page that says Coming Soon, includes a list of accessories and description of various messaging, multimedia, communication, and information features of the BlackBerry Curve 8520 phone.

The phone will be available in two colors, Black and Frost. The BlackBerry Curve 8520 provides easy connection to e-mails and social networking websites like Facebook and MySpace.

The BlackBerry Curve 8520 smartphone is equipped with a full QWERTY keyboard for convenient typing. It provides easy access to music, applications and games with multimedia capabilities.

The phone is also equipped with Wi-Fi and fast web browsing. T-Mobile has said that its customers will get abundant mobile coverage and unlimited nationwide Wi-Fi calling using T-Mobile’s hotspot calling services and also unlimited nationwide calling to five people with T-Mobile myFaves(R) service.

The BlackBerry Curve 8520 smartphone incorporates an innovative touch sensitive optical trackpad which makes scrolling and selection of items more convenient and provides a better navigation option.

It is the first of the BlackBerry Curve series that has dedicated media buttons aesthetically integrated on the top of the handset making it easy for the users to access their music and video files.

The phone has a 256 MB flash memory and a 512 MHz processor that enhances its performance to a great a deal. It also features voice activated dialing, and

Bluetooth (2.0) support for hands-free use with headsets, car kits, stereo headsets and other Bluetooth peripherals.

The BlackBerry Curve 8520 is equipped with a 2-megapixel camera with zooming and video recording capabilities. The memory of the phone can be expanded using a microSD/SDHC card and can support up to 16 GB of memory.

The phone comes with a 1 GB card. The BlackBerry Curve 8520 is a Quad-band world phone: EGDE/GPRS/GSM (850/900/1800/1900 MHz).

“People increasingly expect a rich, diverse experience with their phones because they’re using them in new and different ways,” said Travis Warren, director of product marketing, T-Mobile USA.

He said that adding the BlackBerry Curve 8520 smartphone to the T-Mobile line-up would give its customers a phone that would help bring balance to the “chaotic demands of a busy professional and personal life.”

“More and more cell phone users are choosing to upgrade to a Smartphone and the new BlackBerry Curve 8520 will undoubtedly convince many more people to

make the switch. It delivers all the great messaging, social networking and multimedia features that have made BlackBerry the top-selling Smartphone brand in the

United States,” said Carlo Chiarello, vice president, product management, Research In Motion.

“T-Mobile customers are going to love how easy it is to keep in touch on Facebook and MySpace and the full-QWERTY keyboard is amazingly fast and comfortable for typing on the go”, he added.

The BlackBerry Curve 8520 will be available in the market from August 5, 2009, at T-Mobile retail stores, Wal-Mart stores, and other selected authorized dealers.
