BenQ LED V2400 Eco, V2200 Eco widescreen monitors launched in India

BenQ has launched two new LED widescreen models in its V series, the 24-inch V2400 Eco and, what it calls the world’s first 21.5-inch LED widescreen monitor, the V2200 Eco, in India.

The BenQ LED V2400 Eco and V2200 Eco will be available at a price of Rs18,999 and Rs 14,999, respectively, at all BenQ dealerships across India.

Both the BenQ LED V2400 Eco and V2200 Eco are equipped with the LED monitor technology that ensures zero light leakage, which provides an ultra-high dynamic contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 for intense blacks and extreme whites, and 250cd/m2 brightness.

Another feature of the BenQ LED V2400 Eco and V2200 Eco is that it offers flicker-free performance that is perfect for long-term viewing.

The company claims that the BenQ’s Senseye™ 3 Human Vision Technology amplifies image richness, clarity, and depth, even in the darkest of scenes.

The two new BenQ LED widescreen models also come with an Eco mode that enables 30% less power consumption.

The mercury-free LED panels of the BenQ LED V2400 Eco and V2200 Eco are said to consume about 36% less power, and are lighter, than traditional CCFL displays.

The two BenQ widescreen models comes with a multi-function round holder, fitted at the base of the monitor, that is meant to store office stationery and the like.

The shell of the BenQ LED V2400 Eco and V2200 Eco widescreen models is made of 28% recycled plastic, with no chemical coating or printing.

In keeping with the green theme, the paper cushioning of the BenQ models are composed of 80% recycled material and the carton is made of 80% recycled paper material.

The printing on the carton uses 70% less ink done in 100% soy materials, the company has said.

The two BenQ models are are certified TCO 5.0, RoHS, EnergySTAR 4.1, EuP Energy, PC3R, and EPEAT Gold. They will receive the certification for advanced EnergySTAR 5.0 in November 2009.
