Benq Joybook S35, S43 notebooks launched in India

BenQ has launched two new notebooks, the Joybook S35 and Joybook S43, in India.Both the notebooks will run on Intel’s ULV Pentium Dual Core SU4100 ULV processors and come pre-loaded with Windows 7.

The BenQ Joybook S35 and S43 are said to offer very low energy-consumption levels thanks to the CULV processors.

Here are detailed specifications of the BenQ Joybook S35 and Joybook S43.

Priced at Rs 37,199, the slim 13.3-inch BenQ Joybook S35 weighs 1.5 kgs and is available in high-gloss Blue and Black colors.

The company has said that the BenQ Joybook S35 sports a “flying eaves” hinge design and a gap-less, raised touchpad.

The notebook has a  UltraVivid high-definition LED screen with an aspect ratio of 16:9.

Other features include Wi-Fi, eSATA high-speed data transfer, Intel GMA4500M iGPU, and all-digital HDMI connection.

Multimedia features include an integrated 1.3-mega pixel webcam with Magic-I Visual Effects 2 and WebCam Companion 3, microphone, integrated speakers, a 2-channel TruSurround HD sound system with SRS Headphone 360, and a large-capacity HDD that is available up to 500GB.

An important feature of the BenQ Joybook S35 is extra long battery life. According to the company, the notebook uses an 8-cell battery and runs up to 11 hours.

The Joybook S43 has a 14-inch display screen and, like the S35, is available in high-gloss Blue and Black colors.

The notebook shares the multimedia features of the BenQ Joybook S35, namely, a 3.1-mega pixel webcam with Magic-I Visual Effects 2 and WebCam Companion 3, microphone, integrated speakers, a 2-channel TruSurround HD sound system with SRS Headphone 360, ATI Mobility Radeon HD4330 dGPU, and a large-capacity HDD that is available up to 500GB.

Unlike the S35, the Benq Joybook S43 comes with an 8X DVD Super-Multi optical disc drive and uses a 6-cell battery offering a runtime of 5 hours.

The BenQ Joybook S43 will be available at a price of Rs 40,399.
