ASUS India launched its latest PDA phone, the Asus P835, in India, on May 5, 2009, at a price of Rs. 31,900.

The Asus P835 PDA phone comes with a 3.5″ touch screen WVGA (800 x 480 pixels).
Aimed at business professionals, the phone runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 and can be upgraded to Windows Mobile 6.5.
The company has said that the Asus P835 PDA phone features an updated, streamlined and enhanced iteration of ASUS’ exclusive Glide mobile user interface, with new icons and interactivity.
Edward Wang, business head, mobile communication business, ASUS (India), said, “At ASUS, we always strive to find new ways to bring mobility with perfect connectivity to our customers. Innovation is the core of everything we do at ASUS and thus for our business professionals, we have designed this P835 handset.”
He added that with the Asus P835 PDA phone, which has a high quality 3.5 WVGA display, motion sensor, 5 megapixel camera along with a fast connectivity option, professionals would have a hassle-free, comfortable work life.
The Asus P835 PDA phone comes with fast HSUPA 7.2Mbps download speeds, a trackball, and Opera Mobile, a full-featured Web browser.
The connectivity options of the phone include WLAN 802.11b+g , USB v2.0, and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR.
The Asus P835 PDA phone comes with an industry-standard 5 megapixel camera.
With the Asus P835 PDA phone, customers can switch between 12-key, half-Qwerty and full-Qwerty virtual keyboard modes, to choose the most suitable input method.
The Asus P835 PDA phone also acts as a Wi-Fi access point and can share its Internet connection with as many as 10 devices, such as laptops and PDAs, at the same time.
The phone has a 528 Mhz Qualcomm processor, 4GB of expandable Internal Storage, 288MB SDRAM and 256MB ROM.
The Asus P835 PDA phone offers a standby time of 350 hrs with 3G and 300hrs with 2G, and six-hour talk time with 3G, and seven hours with 2G.
The phone will be available across India soon.
