Technology company Asus has unveiled its new P552w PDA phone that boasts of a range of innovative features. The device has been launched in India and will be available in the market for a price of Rs 27,900.
Incorporating a 624MHz processor, 3.5G HSDPA connectivity, GPS and seamless Google integration, the new P552w PDA phone also boasts of a touch-responsive user interface christened Glide, which is said to enable easy navigation. Glide, in fact, comes with a handful of applications that let the user access news, weather forecast, slideshows, music and the like. With the enabling of Guide, a variety of navigational actions like selecting, zooming and scrolling are also possible very easily. Besides, the new P552w PDA phone also incorporates applications that make it easy to access web content such as RSS newsfeeds, YouTube movies and Flickr.
The PDA, which measures just 102 x 60.5 x 14.5 mm and weighs around 105 grams, is available in two hues – black and white. The P552w PDA phone is expected to be accepted by the tech savvy professionals for its 2.8? TFT, touchscreen 65K color, QVGA 240 x 320 pixels, Marvell Tavor 624MHz processor, 2 MP camera, 256MB Flash + 128MB DDR memory, microSD with SDHC support, WLAN 802.11b+g, USB v1.1 and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR connectivity and 1100mAh Li-Ion battery. The new device runs on Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and has a battery life of 300 hrs with 3G and 250 hrs with 2G. Asus new P552w PDA phone is being kept market ready with as many as 20 ring tones and 10 special effect tones.
Among the variety of features, it offers is its ability to run Word and Excel, Power Point, Internet Explorer, Windows Live, MSN, Voice Commander and Push Email, Google Maps, Anytime Launcher, ASUS Today, Multi-Home, EziMusic and EziPhoto, the company has said.
