Asus has released a range of ASUS P8P67 and P8H67 Series Motherboards in India. The motherboards are based on the new Intel P67 and H67 chipsets and feature full support for Intel’s Sandy Bridge second generation Intel Core i processors.
The new range of motherboards includes various models to cater to all users, from casual to high end.
The new ASUS P8P67 and P8H67 Series motherboards employ new features like DIGI+VRM, DIP2, EFI BIOS and BT GO! that helps users to provide enhanced functionality and performance. The ASUS DIGI+ VRM offers digital CPU voltage regulation for improved reliability, stability and performance as compared to the analog technology.
The new motherboards also include Dual Intelligent Processors 2 technology that features twin embedded co-processors to ensure optimized energy consumption and enhanced performance controls. Furhet, the motherboards offers the mouse-controlled EFI BIOS interface, BT GO! Bluetooth management and the AI Suite II application center.
Apart from the above specs, the ASUS P8P67 series of motherboards is based on the P67 chipset that include the Republic of Gamers (ROG) Maximus IV Extreme and the heavy-duty TUF Series SABERTOOTH P67 motherboard. The DIGI+ VRM technology in P8P67, replaces older analog voltage regulator module (VRM) controllers with a digital programmable microprocessor that fully integrates Intel’s VRD 12 CPU power delivery system to eliminate digital-analog conversion and improving PC performance. It also improves overclocking capabilities increases power efficiency, system stability and reliability.
Both ASUS P8P67 and P8H67 series comes loaded with ASUS’ exclusive EFI that allows users to access BIOS. The BIOS includes an intuitive mouse control and a user friendly graphical interface. Moreover, the motherboards come with AI Suite II that offers one-stop access to a whole host of system management, monitoring and enhancement utilities. It also includes USB 3.0 interface, SATA 6Gb/s interface and hardware-accelerated Intel Gigabit LAN.
The new ASUS P8P67 and P8H67 motherboards will be made available across India by distributor Rashi Peripherals. ASUS P8H67-M EVO motherboard is priced at Rs. 8500, ASUS P8H67-M PRO for Rs. 7800, ASUS P8H67-V for Rs. 7400, ASUS P8H67-M for Rs. 7100, ASUS P8H67-M LE motherboard for Rs. 6400, ASUS P8H67-M LX motherboard – Rs. 5700, ASUS Maximus IV Extreme motherboard – Rs. 21850, ASUS P8P67 Deluxe motherboard – Rs. 11850, ASUS P8P67 motherboard– Rs. 10400, ASUS P8P67 Pro motherboard – Rs. 11500 and Asus Sabertooth P67 motherboard is available for Rs. 12500. There is one more LGA motherboard being launched by ASRock that comes bundled with 3D glasses and MCE remote.
The H67M-GE/HT model from ASRock is based on Intel’s H67 chipset that features flexible display interface (FDI) in order to allow the use of the Sandy Bridge integrated graphics core. The motherboard also features a wide variety of video output ports, including VGA, DVI, DisplayPort and HDMI 1.4a, thus making it compatible with 3D content playback. The H67M-GE/HT includes a PCI Express x16 graphics slot, two PCIe x1 slots, and a regular PCI slot. Hence, users can opt for a discrete graphics card if they want to.
Moreover, the board supports 32GB of DDR3 memory, four DIMM slots, five SATA storage devices. Two of the installed ports work at 6 Gbps. Further, it also includes two USB 3.0 ports, four regular USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet connectivity, and 7.1 channel sound with THX TruStudio PRO certification.
Interesting part is that ASRock is offering users with a Windows Media Center compatible remote and a pair of 3D red/cyan anaglyph glasses.
