Asus F83S laptop launched in India
Asus has launched its 14-inch Asus F83S laptop in the Indian market. The Asus F83S laptop will be available at a price of Rs. 60,340.

Stanley Wu, Country Manager for Notebook business, Asus India, said, “The F83S is one of our performance notebooks, which we are most pleased to release in India. This notebook performs to the hilt and also offers a sense of style with its smooth and polished exterior.”
The laptop has a smooth satin brushed aluminum exterior and a14-inch LCD display with 1366×768 pixel resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio.
The Asus F83S laptop is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and comes with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4500 graphics with 512MB video memory.
The Asus F83S laptop comes with the Asus Smart Log logon feature or pass-key that allows users to login using their facial features as the pass-key.
The Asus laptop has 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 CPU, 4GB DDR2 800MHz RAM and 500GB HDD 5400RPM for storage.
Other features of the Asus F83S laptop include a spill-proof keyboard that prevents damage to internal circuitry if liquid is acidentally spilt on it.
The laptop, that weighs 2.40 kg with a 6-cell battery, comes with 8x DVD Super Multi drive, and built-in 1.3 megapixel webcam. Connectivity options include built-in WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, Gigabit Ethernet, three USB 2.0 port, ExpressCard Slot, and HDMI out port.
The Asus F83S laptop is compatible with Creative SoundBlaster Pro and has an integrated Azalia-compliant audio chip.
The Asus laptop will come with a two-year limited global warranty and one-year battery warranty.

I bought an Acer Timeline 4810T a month ago and its really doing well.The good thing about Acer is that they give us the choice of selecting features, which we require and not thrown at us and that too, at affordable price. I think, where Acer scores over other laptops is more value for money.
