Asus launches netbook in India with battery life of 9.5 hours

Asus have launched the Asus Eee PC 1000HE in India, the latest in their Eee PC Series. The netbook boasts its battery life of 9.5 hours and comes with the new Intel Atom N 280 processor.
The N280 is an iterated version of the Intel Atom N270 processor. The Asus Eee PC 100HE is equipped with a 10 inch WSVGA screen and a clock speed of 1.66 GHz.
The system has a convenient one touch system recovery feature with good aesthetic appeal and high-speed wireless connectivity with 802.11n and Bluetooth support.
The netbook comes with 1 GB DDR2 RAM and 160 GB hard disk and also 10 GB Eee storage which a good for a netbook.
It also includes 1.3 mega pixel built in web with microphone three USB 2.0 ports, 1 Ethernet port, two 3.5mm audio jack, card reader and Dolby Sound Room Certified speakers.
The keyboard is only 92 % of the conventional keyboard used and the complete unit measures 266mm wide x 191.2mm deep x 28.5mm~ 38mm high and weighing 3.2 pounds (1.45kg). The touchpad has a multi-touch feature that allows users to zoom in and out pictures and navigate up and down a page.
The Asus Eee PC 1000HE comes with Windows XP Home and is available in a pearl white, black, pink, blue or gold finish on its glossy LCD lid.
The Asus 100HE netbook was announced last month for a retail price of $399 (Rs. 20,400 approx) and now in India it is available for Rs. 24,990.
