Three spruced up versions of Apple’s MacBook series have been introduced in India. The new improved MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air from the technology giant have a new tag in common — environment friendliness.
The new versions of the MacBooks are said to be made in such a way that they are able to combine less power consumption and better performance. The new improved models come powered with NVIDIA graphic cards, LED backlit screens and big size glass Multi Touch track pads with about 40 per cent more tracking area with Multi-Touch gestures like pinch, rotate and swipe. A review of the new devices says that besides all these features the new versions of the MacBook have a new four-finger swap feature for opening applications, files and folders. The company has reiterated that the new versions of its MacBooks are free from mercury, arsenic, BFR, PVC and are recyclable. Each model comes with standard LED displays free from arsenic and also consumes less energy with instant start.
Featuring NVIDIA GeForce 9400M – the 3D integrated graphics processor with 16 parallel processing cores that delivers five times more performance against the older MacBook and MacBook Air models, the new redesigned versions of the MacBooks have been certified under Energy Star 4.0, EPEAT Gold status and RoHS environmental standards.
Apple has also added extra process power, storage space and other features to give a new look and feel for its MacBook series notebooks. A unique feature about the MacBook Pro is that it comes with with dual cards such as NVIDIA GeForce 9400M integrated graphics and NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT discrete graphics with 256 MB GDDR3 video memory. This feature in fact allows a switch over to the graphic cards as per the application needs, said the company, adding that the model has been made with professionals working in the area of graphics, gaming and software designing.
