Apple, the US based Mac maker, is expected to announce the launch of its highly anticipated electronic gadget Apple Tablet next week at an Apple media event. Though there are no confirmed reports on how it would look like or how it will work, the internet is buzzing with more and more rumours about the device which has been kept under the wraps by Apple for quite some time from now.
Apple, a company which is notoriously known for the secrecy it gives to its upcoming products, has not revealed anything about the all new Apple tablet to keep the rumours surrounding the device on a high note.
There have been unconfirmed reports that Apple still has not found a carrier to offer the device. While some reports said both AT&T and Verizon would offer the device on two different versions, some other reports say Apple is yet to yet to put pen on paper on which wireless carrier it would choose.
Apple tablet is expected to bring lots of revenue to the company. If the Apple tablet is priced at USD 600, then it is estimated that the company would sell 5 million units in the first year and will bring the company an astronomical figure of USD 3billion (approx).
But if Apple decides to sell the tablet at a much higher price, say USD 800, then it is thought that the number of unites sold will come down and naturally, the revenues will also come down.
The only person who so far knows everything about the Apple tablet seems to be the Apple chief itself, Steve Jobs.
According to observers, the Apple tablet will look like a big iPod Touch which can be used to read magazines and newspapers, which can be used to watch live video and music. The Apple tablet will be launched at the Apple media event on January 27.
There are rumours that the tablet computer would be called the Apple Slate, iSlate, iPad or just Tablet. Anyway, it is only a wait for 2 more days now!
