7 June, 2007

Apple has launched the latest MacBook Pro notebook with a new faster and greener look. The new MacBook Pro from Apple comes with the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processors, memory up to 4GB, and high-speed graphics. The new MacBook version from Apple will be available in 15-inch models with a new mercury-free, power-efficient LED-backlit display and a 17-inch model with an optional high-resolution display.

Both the MacBook Pro models from Apple, the 15-inch and the 17-inch, feature a built-in iSight video camera, Apple’s MagSafe Power Adaptor that safely disconnects when under strain, and built-in 802.11n wireless networking.

The Apple MacBook pro models feature an Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 4MB of shared L2 cache, an 800 MHz frontside bus and 2GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM memory. It runs professional applications like Final Cut Pro 6 and Logic Pro 7, and at a speed 50 percent faster than the original MacBook Pro with Core Duo.

The new Apple MacBook Pro features more realistic graphics for animation and gaming and comes with a state-of-the art NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT and is more than 50 per cent faster than the original MacBook Pro with Core Duo.

The Apple MacBook Pro is lightweight and is available in three models, 2.2 GHz and 2.4 GHz 15-inch MacBook Pro models, and a 2.4 GHz 17-inch MacBook Pro model. The 17-inch model has a resolution of 1,920-x-1,200 high-resolution and thus provides over 30 per cent more screen real estate than the standard 1680-x-1050 display.

Other wonderful features which can be found on the new Apple MacBook Pro notebooks are built-in 10/100/1000 BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet for high-speed networking, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR (Enhanced Data Rate), a FireWire 800 and a FireWire 400 port and a backlit illuminated keyboard. It also features an ExpressCard/34 expansion card slot for expansion solutions such as 3G wireless networking, and a DVI video output to connect up to a 30-inch Apple Cinema HD Display.

Apple has started shipping the new MacBook Pro notebooks and will be available through Apple Store, Apple’s retail stores and Apple Authorised Resellers. The 2.2 GHz, 15-inch MacBook Pro will have a price tag of EUR 1,299 (inc. VAT). The 2.4 GHz, 15-inch MacBook Pro, will sell for for a suggested retail price of EUR 1,599 (inc.
