AOC Breeze Android 2.1 tablet priced at sub-$200

AOC has launched an ultraportable tablet called AOC Breeze ahead of the CES 2011. The tablet runs on the Google Android 2.1 operating system and is powered by a Rockchip processor.

AOC Breeze is an 8-inch tablet that features 800 x 600 pixels touchscreen with auto rotation capability. The Breeze tablet will be available in the United States in late January across a variety of national retails and would carry a price tag of sub-$200. AOC Breeze Technical Specifications

AOC Breeze weighs only 1.1 pounds and hosts a row of physical keys along the right edge. AOC Breeze offers 4GB of on-board storage space, which can be expanded via micro SD card slot. It also comes with a full USB 2.0 support.

AOC Breeze includes a built-in speaker, standard headphone jack and microphone. Moreover, the Breeze comes preloaded with applications like Web browser, video and audio players, photo browser, e-mail, calendar and e-book shelves. With Breeze, you can access Internet, play games, watch movies and listen to music with ease.

The AOC Android tablet lets you stream media from an attached USB device or the Internet via Wi-Fi. Also, users can access additional apps such as the office suite through the Android marketplace. AOC Breeze supports a strong battery that offers 12 hrs of audio playing time or up to 6 hrs of video playing time.

For connectivity, AOC Breeze supports Wi-Fi 802.11b/g. The Android 2.1 tablet comes with USB OTG, 3.5MM stereo headphone jack and DC in jack. AOC is providing a full line of accessories with the Breeze tablet and a 2-year accident coverage program for loss or damage of the device.

With decent features an affordable pricing, AOC Breeze’s India launch would be highly awaited by us. The year 2011 anyway seems to be the year of tablets. There are so many of them coming up that users will find it tough to make a decision while buying a tablet and then price would definitely play a pivotal role.
