Amarok has released a new version of its popular music player for Linux operating system. Codenamed Maya Gold, the new version is the latest offering from Amarok and is based on KDE.

Maya Gold comes with a whole lot of new features. The most important ones are real time search and Minified library database and easy management.
Another interesting feature of Amarok’s Maya Gold is that it has incorporated a Moodbar feature, whereas it can be changed based on the mood of the user. Moods such as happy, frozen and angry will be present in the Moodbar.
Maya Gold, Amarok’s latest music player offering comes with In built support for last.fm integration and In built support for subtitles. The new Maya Gold music player also has a new pluggable look and feel.
The podcast section of Amarok Maya Gold Linux music player is greatly improved and offers better memory management.
