Airtel launched ‘Jobs On Mobile’

Mobile services major Airtel has kicked off a new area of service for its customers by unveiling a job hunting over mobile facility – Airtel ‘Jobs On Mobile’.

Elaborating on the new service, Airtel has said that the service would make hot new jobs just an SMS away for Airtel customers. “This is in continuation of our commitment to continually enhancing customer experience,” the company has said.

The new service is aimed at the youth where in they can find their dream job using their mobiles. Airtel has entered into a special arrangement with some of the major job content websites, such as naukri.com, monsterindia.com, clickjobs.com and sulekha.com.

According to Airtel sources, customers can avail this facility by dialing *321*661#.  “The user can submit his job profile by going through a simple set of menus. On subscription the customer will get daily job alerts on SMS at a cost of just Rs 10 for 10 days. The first 9 jobs browsed immediately after subscription will be complimentary to the customer. G The subscriptions will get renewed automatically in every 10 days. Alternatively, customers can also make use of this facility by logging on to Airtel Live through WAP-enabled handsets,” company sources said.

The new service, Jobs on Mobile, is being positioned b the company as helpful service to the young generation.  Pointing out that Airtel has always been the first in bringing in innovative services that redefine the way mobiles are used , an Airtel official said that “it underlines our commitment to deliver value to users in every segment of the market.”

Bharti Airtel has already taken position as one of the leading integrated telecom services providers in India with an aggregate of around 80 million customers as of end of September 2008. The company which has been structured into three strategic business units such as mobile services, telemedia services and enterprise services, sees to it that the mobile business provides mobile and fixed wireless services using GSM technology across 23 telecom circles.
