The Acer A1 Android 2.0-phone is now available for pre-order at eXpansys, in France and Germany, Gizmodo has reported.

The 3.5-inch WVGA touch-sensitive screen Acer A1 phone has a 800×480 resolution.

The phone sports a 5.0-megapixel color camera with auto focus

The Acer A1 is powered by Qualcomm 8250 768 MHz processor and runs Android 2.0.

The phone comes with 512 MB ROM and 256 MB RAM. The Acer A1 phone weighs  135 gms with battery and measures 115 x 62.5 x 12.5 mm.

Connectivity features include a GPS chip with integrated antenna. With the built-in GPS feature, the phone can be used as a navigation device and for geotagging photographs.

Other features include Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate and A2DP for wireless stereo headsets, and 3.5 mm audio jack.

The Acer A1 has Wi-Fi with specifications of IEEE 802.11 b/g for internet access at Wi-Fi hotspots.

Acer A1 said that mobile works in HSPA and WCDMA networks at 50, 1900, 2100 MHz.

Speeds specs listed are up to 2 Mbps up-link and 7.2 Mbps down-link.

The Acer A1 works on Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE at850/900/1800/1900 MHz. The company has mentioned that the band frequency and data speed is dependent on the cellphone operator.

The rechargeable Lithium-ion battery has the following specs:
Capacity: 1350 mAh
Talk time: Up to 300 minutes
Standby time: Up to 400 hours.

The phone has a microSD  memory card (SD 2.0 compatible) expansion slot.

There is no information available about when the phone will be launched. The pre-order price of the phone is around $571 (390 Euros).
