Roswell to host UFO Festival between 5-8 July, 2007

18 April, 2007

This year also, Roswell in New Mexico, United States, is hosting that unique festival from July 5 to 8.

About 50,000 people are expected to attend the UFO (unidentified flying object) Festival, which commemorates what has now popularly become known as the ‘Roswell UFO Incident.’

There is an incident that caused the start of the UFO Festival – an object was recovered northwest of Roswell in June 1947. Mystery has been shrouding the object ever since. It has not yet been determined what exactly the object is. Some people believe that it was proof of the existence of an alien life form.

The programme of the festival includes an exhibition about aliens, laser shows, a costume competition as well as lectures.

Dean Haglund, the actor who played Langely in the television series The X Files, will make a special appearance at the UFO Festival at Roswell, which is a three-hour drive from Albuquerque airport.
