Yoga for AIDS: Ramadoss-Ramdev fight it out
Yoga can cure AIDS, says Swami Ramdev; not so, says Ramadoss.

Can yoga cure AIDS? Yoga guru Baba Ramdev says yes. However, the doctor in the Union Cabinet rubbishes the claim. And that is not all.
Ramdev hs been issued a warning too. “Do not propagate things that are not scientifically and clinically validated”.
According to Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss what
Swami Ramdev has been saying is rubbish. Meanwhile,
Swami Ramdev has said that his institute will prove through clinical tests that yoga can cure AIDS.
Adding that the Union Government has sent a notice to him against his
claims, he said he would not stop telling what he believes is the truth. However, Ramadoss said he was not aware about the notice sent to Ramdev for making such claims on curing diseases. According to the minister the Department of Ayush may have sent a notice. He added though it has been scientifically proven that yoga helps in reducing diabetes, arthritis and stress-related problems, cancer and AIDS are not
diseases that can be cured by yoga.
Ramadoss went on to say that the government was willing to work with him if
Swami Ramdev could prove that he could find a cure for HIV. But not without scientifically-backed facts, the minister added.
