Luisana Cicilia is new Miss Universe Aruba

 Luisana Cicilia will represent Arub in the coming
Miss Universe beauty contest to be held at Bangkok, Thailand
on may 30, 2005. Luisana Cicilia was crowned Miss Universe
Aruba 2005 in replacement of original winner Maya Frigerio,
who was stripped of her title for not fulfilling her duties as
Miss Universe Aruba. Miss Luisana Cicilia was 1st runner-up at
the Miss Aruba pageant held last year.
The pageant and the crowning ceremony took place at the
Ballroom of the Wyndham Aruba Resort.
Twenty-year old Luisana is 180 cm tall, hailing from Dakota, a
small town outside Aruba’s capital Oranjestad. She wants to
finish her studies in Travel & Tourism and work for the Aruba
Tourism Authority.
Local newspapers earlier reported problems between original
Miss Uiverse Aruba 2005 winner Maya Frigerio and the
organizers of the Miss Aruba pageant. The decision to replace
her was taken after she failed to perform the duties required
by the organization as the titleholder of "Miss Aruba"..
